A big thank you goes out to Jacks, the carver of this stamp which came to Tennessee by way of Penguin Patrol’s stamp swap. For the clue, I present a one side of a conversation:
“Is that you?”
“What are you... oh my gosh!”
“Get in the car now, before they catch you!”
“So the police almost did! Where were you, and WHAT were you doing?”
“Of course I remember that time, but we were crazy teenagers! And you were at a nice mill dam? But there’s a couple of those around.”
“Oh, THE Nice Mill Dam.”
“Well, of course you’re scared, in your current state. What were you thinking? And where’d you find a picnic tablecloth?”
“Oh, I’m pretty sure they won’t want it back.”
“Of course you need your wallet and your keys; where are they?”
“Ooohhhhh! So we have to go back and get them.”
“Of course I wouldn’t go down Sulphur Springs Road from town. That road has more twists and turns than a dog's hind leg! I’ll turn on Florence Road along side the cemetery and catch sulphur Springs from there. We won’t even have to cross the bridge and we should be at the spot.”
“So, at the end of the lot, there’s a path into the trees between some wooden posts? Ok, I’ve got that.”
“And right as I’m heading into the woods there’s a big cut-down tree on the right, and they’re tucked under the far side of it? Ok go on.”
“And a you know the spot where you tucked them in because chain saw cut is pointing down to the spot? Ok, got it. Now you stay down and I’ll be right back with them!”
“At you’re age, I thought you would know better!”
