Find Lake Sonoma accessed via Highway 101 to the Canyon Road Exit in the Geyserville area. Follow signs to the lake turning right at the T onto Dry Creek Road and finally into the park. Keep driving until you hit the junction of Skaggs Springs and Rockpile Road. Take Rockpile and after awhile, passing several other trailheads, you’ll come on the right to the turnout and trailhead which is Lone Rock. Park and walk to the northwest end of the parking area.

Take that trail down, down, down for about five minutes. Finally, you will descend to what appears to be a seasonal creek crossing the trail. Today in a third year drought in mid-January it is dry. From the sometimes dry creek bed crossing the trail walk back up the trail about twelve steps. Look left to the large rock outcropping. Take about eighteen steps in that direction until you spy a probable troll home under a horizontal, mossy tree serpent. Directly under the serpent’s rump and concealed under rocks will be The Unapologetic Parasite (mistletoe) letterbox.

Surprise for first finder. Please close everything up tightly and rehide carefully.

Thanks for coming!!
