Latest finder in June 2022 indicated the box needs replacing. We won’t be there again for over a year so if you can help it would be appreciated!
All Points is located on the way up to Waimea Canyon. Take Waimea Canyon Drive (550) as this is the most scenic way up. Immediately after mile marker 6 is a turnoff on the right-hand side. Turn in at the red dirt turnout. Park and lock your car and take your camera. Walk back toward the mile marker and you will see a small path to your left between the tall grass that heads toward the canyon. Take that path.
As you follow the trail you might see a waterfall on your left - we only see it if it has been raining. (We didn't see or hear the waterfall in Aug. but we did see goats on the left side of the canyon.) Keep walking straight out to the point and take in the view. The waterfall would be on your left, the canyon in front of you and the ocean to your right.
Turn around, looking back toward the path and there is a large tree in front of you and slightly to your left. The box is in the crook of the tree under some leaves.
Enjoy one of our favorite spots. It is usually sunny here even if it is cloudy and rainy further up the canyon. We have had several visitors log the book multiple times! Nice, quiet spot for a picnic or peaceful contemplation.
