Reading Historical Quest

This letterbox was designed as a scavenger hunt to teach the community about the historical sites around the Town of Reading, MA. It's about a 2 mile walk, collecting clues along the way.

You will need a map of Reading,MA. one can be located at the Town Hall on 16 Lowell St.


Reading Historical Quest

In 1644 Reading began
By 1770 in one house
church and government ran
Look for the First Meeting House site
On the common at a very low height.

Allows its citizens to be vocal.
A place to borrow books galore
Was located closely right next door.
Now find the “Town Business Only” box
Look for a seal, not a fox.
