58 Bernie O'Rourke Drive
Middletown, CT.
This is right off of Washington Street which is also Route 66.
About 15 minutes.
Hours for the Hall are Monday-Friday 9:30-12:00 or by appointment at 860-347-9575
Parking may be a problem in April when the carnival comes to town.
I have no idea what's in the building, but it might be fun to find out.
To find the box, park at the hall. Go around the left side of the building and follow the fence to the right. Please be very careful if you have small children with you as the river runs high and fast depending on the time of year. Keep going until you see the bridge. Cross over the bridge and head uphill towards a metal gate. Just before the gate look to your left for an unmarked path. There might be a small white blaze on one of the trees. Take that path a short distance until you see a tree on the left that has a small blue sign about seven feet up that says Fit Trail on it. Directly across from that tree is a two sister. Behind the sister is a fallen tree in two pieces. Look between the pieces for a camo pouch with the stamp inside. Please make sure the pouch is sitting on the piece of ceramic pipe so it doesn't freeze into the gound and rehide well as this is a very busy place.
