Welcome to NIPOMO in its NATURAL state. This clue will take you to a park that demonstrates the unique character and rich biological heritage of the Nipomo Mesa.
At the North/East corner of Osage and Camino Caballo is a dirt road where you will enter the park. Follow the main (non-equestrian) trail.
Make your first left to the Manzanita Kiosk, there you will find information about the plants and wild life that inhabit this beautiful landscape.
From there, head to a spot which looks like this... lllOlll (arial view) ...a gathering location.
Standing in the middle of the gathering location, now search for the beginning of your next trail marked by a sign of PEACE into the Mature Oak Woodlands. Once there, stay along the designated path.
Follow path to a large and beautiful Coast Live Oak. There you will find a plaque honoring Bill Denneen.
Go to opposite side of the tree where you will see two benches. With the tree behind you, and the benches in front of you.... the letterbox is near.
Just look for a pile of rocks to the right... at the end of a long limb that touches down to the ground.
