We begin our jouney in the valley at the arch that memorializes a general and his troops. Walking over a field that might be at home in Dartmoor we head toward the Hidden river. We seek a trail that runs parallel to that river. We must cross a bridge for walkers that also serves cars, the number of the road is an even number with three digits that when multiplied together equal sixteen. On the other side of the river we head upstream. Keeping the river in our sight.
This rock wall, not made by man, could this be my wonderwall? Here on a log that used to block the path would be good place to sit with friends and have lunch in the winter sunshine. As we prepare to head home I look up the hill following the angle of the log. I think of a man who was born 200 years ago. Sincerly Pondering our Rights.
