A very easy and simple box. It would be great for beginners. Find Northmoreland Park - a part of the Westmoreland County Park system. Go to the parking area near the boathouse at the large lake. Begin your search by getting on the brick hiking/biking trail and proceed counterclockwise. Enjoy nature as you go approximately 3/4 of a mile. As you are about to exit the woods in the area of the spillway there is a large mound of dirt behind a tree that looks flat on one side. On the lake side of this mound at the bottom will be a small dead tree lying down. What you seek is near the root of the tree covered by 2 rocks. Please be discreet as it is very near the trail which is very busy on weekends. You can return to the parking lot by continuing around the lake. Watch for the goose droppings - sticky and smelly. Enjoy your venture in nature.
