This is a word (coined by a very dear letterboxer) that made it’s debut in a display at a SURPRISE party in Dec. You’ll need a space one and a half inches by five and a half inches to complete the image. The first three boxes look amazingly like hole plugs and the fourth contains the logbook.. Any color ink will do.

Reservoir #6 on route 44 in West Hartford. This is over two miles round trip. Park in the first lot as you enter.

Head north through two gates onto a wide path which I’ll refer to as the main trail and almost immediately turn left onto the blue blazed trail. Just before the top of the hill is a four sister tree on the right. Just to the right (and behind) this is a three sister at the edge of a gully. Look in the back behind a trap door for box #1.

Return to the main trail and turn left. Continue on until you see a trail marked by a “No Bikes Allowed” sign. Turn left and when the trail first levels out look right for a large rock and a double stump. A few more steps along the trail will take you to a sick looking four sister tree on the left. Look in back in the crotch under rocks for box #2.

Return to the main trail, turn left and continue on until the next trail with a “No Bikes Allowed” sign. Turn left, going uphill until you see a beech tree (I’m not really sure it’s a beech but it has initials carved into it). Look behind this for a trap door and box #3.

Return to the main trail, turn left and continue on for a bit of a long walk, passing another trail with a box (bring clues for Store Bought), several stone bridges and rushing water until you come to another blue trail. This one is marked by a Metacomet Trail sign. Turn left going uphill until the first tree with a blue blaze, look left for a large twin sister oak.

After making sure that all is secure, you may either retrace your steps or continue on to other local boxes.
