Hike Distance?

This is a series of boxes placed in interesting, historical, natural spots in the area. They are good places to hike or sit and enjoy the out of doors, and to bring along a bag lunch to have a bite to eat. ENJOY!

Difficulty: Very easy.
Terrain: Flat and level.
Distance: To box, less than 75 feet.

This box is located at a little known State Memorial.

Please bring your stamp, stamp pad, and writing utensil, and binoculars if you are interested in bird/wildlife watching.

From Beverly Ohio take SR 60 north to SR 266. Turn left onto 266 and go about 8 miles and the park is on your left. From Stockport, cross over the bridge and turn right and head downriver about 2 miles, and the park will be on your right.

Pull off at the park and get out and go over to the Historical Marker and read about what happened here. Take a walk around this quiet little park, look at the stone marker over to the left side of the park, walk down by the river, sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. When you are ready, go back to the Historical Marker and then go thru the stone gateway and enter the park. After going thru the gateway immediately turn to your left and walk down alongside the sandstone retaining wall to the second big tree. From this tree count back 4 stones. Then, under the fourth stone, is a stone that is not fitted properly into the wall. Behind this loose stone, LET'S DO LUNCH III is hiding. Be mindful of how the stone came out, as this is the best fit for it, when you return it to its place. Even though this is a little used park, it is very open here, so be very discreet in pulling out the Letterbox and replacing it. You can take the box over to a picnic table and do your stamping. Be sure to reseal eveything and replace the loose rock securely in its place.
There are more boxes in the area, so be sure to look for them all.
