"Island Treasure",in Island Grove Abington directions:In Weymouth, traveling south on Route#18, toward Abington.Just afteryou pass route#139, take 2nd leftonto Washington St. Go about 1.3 miles till you come to Wilson Place, on left. Take that left to the end. You will know you have arrived when you see a magnificent bridge spanning a peaceful pond. Park at the side of the road. Enter the bridge and cross it. Look up and notice the stunning eagle, and soldiers, honoring the Civil War veterans. As you exit , walk about 30 steps. Take the left path, on a slightly steep slope. Continue, keeping the broken stone bench to yor right. As you bear right, keep the next stone bench to your left. With your back to that stone bench, look ahead and proceed to and through the gazebo. Look to the left and sit down on the nearest bench. Take a breather, rest, and prepare for the last leg of the journey. Going left on the path, continue to the next street light. On the right you will see a wooden log structure low to the ground. Take a right there and pass the "lover's tree",to your right. Take the path downhill, but not too quickly. Your "Island Treasure",can be found on the left. X marks the spot!!! Look under the fallen tree . Good luck and i hope you had a fun hike!
