This box is placed in the Bear Hill Wildlife Management Area. From Rt. 2, take exit 23 and go south on Rt. 163. In approximately 1.5 miles, take a left onto Bishop Road. At the stop sign continue straight onto Bear Hill Road. Follow Bear Hill Road up to the top of the road. The parking lots are at the top of the road. Depending on the time of year, the park barricade may be in place. If it is up, you will need to park at the lower lot and walk a short distance to the second parking lot at the top of the hill.

Head S/SW straight through the green iron gate, past the old barn, onto the main trail. You will see a radio tower in the distance above the tree line as you look down the trail. Follow the trail until it forms a T. Turn to the right and follow the trail until you get to an intersection in the trail that looks like the 25th letter of the alphabet. Take the path less traveled that goes towards a line of deciduous trees.

Follow this trail gently around the corner then stop as the path begins to straighten. Look ahead in the open area on the right for The Bent Tree. The Bent Tree points you back to start. At the next intersection, take the trail that is 180˚ from the direction The Bent Tree pointed towards. Travel down a hill and notice the evergreen tree hugging a broadleaf tree on the right side of the trail, as well as a tall white pine towering above the canopy straight ahead in the woods. You are getting close.

While continuing on the trail, pass a small rock outcropping on your left. Look for a tall red cedar on the right that marks the start of an old rock wall that travels off through the woods. Walk parallel to the rock wall for 50 steps, keeping the wall on your right. Find the largest rock in this area. The Bozrah Brownie Friend in hiding under this rock. Search carefully, stamp in, and hide again well.
