BACKGROUND:

This box was created as a seasonal box which is to be available in early spring of each year.

It will be placed in its intended seasonably location each year in late March. Check the listing on Atlas Quest to determine if it is currently available.

While living in Japan I came to appreciate the extreme zeal with which the Japanese people celebrate the coming of spring each year. One of their Primary spring activities is Hanami. This word, which translates literally as flower viewing, refers to gatherings for lawn parties at any place that the fruit trees are in bloom. Primarily it is used as a reference to family groups viewing the “Sakura Matsuri” or The Cherry Blossom Festival, and is normally accompanied by eating, drinking, singing, dancing, and traditional music. Each area of the country has the local prime time for Sakura viewing set aside as a Regional Holiday Festival.

The Cherry Blossom song “Sakura” associated with this season is one of the best know songs of Japan.

WHERE IS IT:

This box is a seasonal bonus box sharing a special cache with "Marjorie's Nest". Locating that box will also lead you to this one when it is active.

It is helpful if you log your find both here and on Atlas Quest
