The Oldest Memorial

To honor our veterans, our family, our literature, and Our Lady
We head to the Abbey of the Valley.
One Way, all the way ‘round to park and "Regard the Pretty" path!
Take a right, and right again to rest.
So as not to share the Nine Men’s Misery, stand up and soldier on 95 straight steps.
Turn left off the path, walk 15 steps.
Left again to the angle of "L"ove in the stone wall.
Look behind a mossy brick trio- Happy Birthday to You!

No need to take a vow of Cistercians silence, but this can be a busy spot, so please be aware, quiet, and replace carefully as found. Also, be aware of poison ivy & mosquitoes- might want to bring your bug spray! After you have reached it (not saying that *you* have reached *it*), continue your walk- there are all sorts of miracles here to be discovered!
