Directions: Millbrook Road to Old Johnson Lane in Middletown, CT. This is Middletown conservation land.
Many thanks to all the conservation people who helped at todays get together. My hat's off to all of you.
Park at the trail head at the end of Old Johnson Lane in Middletown. Follow the dirt road which will be the main trail. It is the yellow trail. (These trails are not well blazed and you might see the occasional red or white blazes on trees).
At your first Y intersection DO NOT go left. At your second Y intersection DO NOT go left. Just before going through an opening to the power lines, look right for an old pile of rocks. Maybe an old stonewall? Walk around the tree to the right and look under a pointed rock’s overhang. In spite of the name of the box, this is a regulation size box with log book etc.
Please cover with debris, the overhang isn’t quite overhanging enough.
