1.) Get off Rt. 81 at Exit 257, the Mauzy Exit.
2.) Take VA-259 towards Broadway.
3.) In Broadway, turn right at Brocks Gap Rd/VA-259
Continue to follow VA-259 for about 15 miles.
4.) Turn left at Bergton Rd. Go about 1 mile or so.
5.) Turn left onto Blue Hole Rd. Continue straight until you reach the picnic area. Park here. You’ll see big rocks, picnic tables, grills, and a bathroom.
Children's Clues
1.) Go over to the water and enjoy the scenery like the peak of Little Mountain which you can see from Blue Hole.
2.) Then turn to the right. Look to find the big mossy tree with the holes in it on the side of the hill.
3.) Climb up the hill, but ask your parents for permission. Watch out for poison!
4.) Skip up the road till you get to the peak of the turn; peek over the edge and check out the big water hole. Be careful, make sure you don't slip.
5.) Then skip down the road look on the right side of the road until you get to the lucky tree with seven trees coming out of one. For good luck stop and do seven jumping jacks.
6.) Then walk down the road until you see a big open field ahead; you’ll see 3 turn around spots along the way. Stop at the log that crosses the path leading to the field. Go over to the river and skip a rock across the water. Come back to the road.
7.) Then look around and find the biggest tree on the left side. Go to the tree and look in the hole that’s in it. Notice how hollow it is. Isn't that cool?
8.) Continue back down the road the way you came. On the right side you will see logs with lots and lots of moss on them. Pick one and carve your name into it.
9.) Then continue down the road and skip back to the lucky seven trees while saying your ABC’s over and over again. Take a break if you need to.
10.) Look around the your lucky tree. The box should be around the roots of the tree.
11.) When you are done, please hide the box well, so another lucky person can find it.
Adult Clues

2.) Walk towards the rock cliff, that’s Blue Hole. Turn around after you get there and walk through the little grass area until you get to the road.
3.) Then follow the road up the hill. Keep going until you get to the peak of the turn. Stop and look at the hole.
4.) Then keep walking around till you see a big tree with seven trees coming out of one on the right side on the road.
5.) Follow the road along the rapids till you see a big field; there will a path with a log across it.
6.) Turn around and look for the biggest tree on the left side. It will have a big hole in it. Look in the hole, It’s really cool.
7.) Then turn around and walk back to the lucky seven trees.
8.) Look around the roots of the tree. The box will be there.
9.)When you are done, please hide the box well, so another lucky person can find it.
