Tusher Tunnel is one of our favorite places to play when we're Jeeping in Moab. For this letterbox you'll need a flashlight.

From Moab, take highway 191 north to Mill Canyon Road on your left. This is about 13 miles from the intersection with highway 128, just past mile marker 141. Follow Mill Canyon Road west and then turn left at 3.6 miles. Take the leftmost road at the "Y" to start the trail.

Tusher Tunnel trail starts as a left turn at a "Y" just after the left turn. It is an easy trail at this point that would be fine for any SUV. Trail finding is easy.

When you get to a crossroads, turn downhill to get to the tunnel. This is the only rocky and slightly difficult part of the trail.

After turning downhill, the end of the trail comes very quickly. There is a sandy turnaround where you can park, and the hiking trailhead is marked with a sign.

Hike along this trail following cairns and soon the tunnel is ahead of you. You can walk all the way through to the other side where the hike ends. However, once you are about 7/8 of the way through the tunnel you'll find a little mini-cave to your left. Go inside this cave and look up and to your right (you'll need your flashlight here).

Good luck and be sure to take pictures!
