Go to the Arnold Arboretum.
The main entrance is at 125 Arborway, Jamaica Plain MA.
You could also enter through the Forest Hills Gate or Centre Street Gate.
Go to the intersection of Meadow Road, Forest Hills Road, and Bussey Hill Road (near the ponds).
Find your way to the drinking fountain.
Walk up Beech Path (the path going up hill behind the drinking fountain) until you reach the large Bigcone Dragon Spruce on your right.
Go to the back of the tree and, facing uphill, walk 88 steps to the huge European beech (keep the mountain silverbell to your right and the weeping beech to your left).
Continue walking in the same direction, when out from the canopy, locate the grove of trees at the top of the hill, walk toward them.
On the left side, find the tree with the biggest trunk, it is a black oak (the name plate is on the backside and upside down). Take the path to the left through the woods.
The path comes to fork, the lower path follows a stone wall, the upper path follows a wooden fence with a row of lilacs along it.
Follow the lilacs to the end of the row search for the letterbox on the ground here.
