Location: Where "Overflowing" + "High Ocean Water" meets Rte 1.

Park across the street from the above clue in the parking lot of a realty company "at the light".

Step out of parking area to the right onto the grass and walk to the cemetery and through the wall opening. Note the "original inhabitant" of 1698. Behind and to the right of his stone is that of 14 year old Elisha. He served as a personal aide to General Washington before being captured and sentenced to the prison ship Jersey where he died in 1778. The HMS Jersey along with several other British ships was the place of "extermination" of approx 13,000 American soldiers and sailors by disease and starvation.
The Jersey was the final resting place of a number of prisoners from the battle of Fort Griswold in Groton as well.

I come from a military family. My father served as a pilot in WWII, Korea and Vietnam and my son is a Marine who has served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. I believe we should honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice, as Elisha did, so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have here in America. It never gets old.

To find this box look behind the stone of Elisha to the larger multi-trunk tree along the water's edge. A few paces over to the right of this tree behind a large pointed rock is the box covered with leaves and smaller stones. Please be discreet and rehide well as this is a visible place.

After replacing the box you may enjoy walking down the street and getting an ice cream.
