West Woods Entrance #3 Sam Hill Rd
7/13/09 boxes broken will replace soon.
#1 follow white circle up. At top of hill look left for path that will take you around new mud flat. On top of new path look left for highest rock with a thin tree growing out of the center. Here you will find box #1 the elder.

Continue on white circle going alongside RR tracks. At intersection of white circle and red circle continue on white circle. At intersection of white circle and white square continue right on white circle. At next intersection of white circle and white square bear left on white circle. Shortly you will come to a large boulder with a chunk broken off almost blocking trail. Stop here and look right for the 4ft tree stump. Beyond the stump in a rock cave you will find #2 the middle man.

Continuing on white circle you will come to a Y in the trail. Go to the right to continue on white circle and cross a plank bridge. The trail will divide again stay on white circle. Walk through a long strand of Laurels and you should see Lost Lake on the left. Trail will meet with white square again. Stay on white circle. You will cross a plank and rock bridge. Keep left on white trail and go up,up,up. Trail will divide again with white square. Stay on white circle. Look for split boulder on the right with a cedar tree growing in the middle. With your back to the rock and tree look left and find a triple trunk tree. Just beyond is a boulder with a baby. Look to baby to find #3 the little man.

To get back to your car turn around and follow the white circle trail.

My 10 year old planted these boxes with the help of my 8 year old twins.

All letterboxes we plant are easy, kid friendly and pet friendly trails.
