Letter box “TINY SEASHELL’’
Take the “long road” to Squantum, past Marina Bay, and follow the seawall to Squaw Rock Park. Take the main path, through the lovely birch trees on either side. This place is loaded with birches, my favorite tree. Come to a clearing , with an astounding view of the Boston skyline. Sit here and enjoy the view. I hope you brought your camera. This is a photographer’s paradise. Take a right on the path, again through birches on both sides. Be sure the water is to your left. You will happen upon a monument dedicated to Captain Myles Standish. You can’t miss it. It’s , well…………an interesting shaped structure. Continue on the winding path. At a alight fork, bear right. When you see a fire pit on your right, bear left. At another fork, bear left. When you arrive at a clearing , with the beach on your left, and a very large rock outcropping directly ahead, you are in the right spot. To find “SEASHELL”, climb to the highest rocky point. It is in a small nook in a ledge , with some shrubs and roots. It is covered with small rocks, so please re-hide it especially well, as this is a drinking spot for kiddies, though I don’t know why , because it is up high!!!!, and a bit dangerous . Enjoy the view. It is absolutely breathtaking! There are 2 other boxes I’ve planted out here. I hope you find them all. Happy hunting!
