Lucky was told of remains of a foam dome gnome home And it peak his interest enough to check it and out and along the way left his charms. Part of this trail goes over private property so please stay on the trail. Lucky heard about this place from his friends Snap , Crackle , And Pop. They told him about this home that was built as a vacation spot for the forest gnomes a long time ago. But now with the interent they found a better deal thru travelocity.com... hehehe
In the center of New hartford turn onto central ave. at the light with Passiflora on the oppisite sid eof the street. Stay left past the library . At the stop sign go straight onto steele rd. At the V stay to the right. Go 8/10ths of a mile . On the left will be a gravel area with marked boulders to park at. On the trees are white diamonds stating New Hartford land. Also an arrow with a trail written on it. Head onto the trail past the map kiosk on the red trail. This is also known as Jones MOuntain.
Follow the red trail take a left onto the loop.just after the loop sign you will come to the first single red blaze on your left. look to the right foe a boulder. Front left side of the boulder under soe rocks and leaves is where you'll find pink hearts.
Continue on the loop trail until you come to a 4ft. high stump in the middle of the trail . Bushwack to your right into the woods to a 4 sister tree in the middle of them you will see orange stars.
Back on the trail continue past the white trail. Past by the foundation of an old carrage house see the hearts on the drum. Come to a V stay right on the trail which is now yellow. Come to a large fallen tree on the right. Looks like the Keebler elves had to move too. To find the Yellow moon look under the root end of the tree on the left under some bark .
Follow the yellow trail until you come to a sign reading Peak and a amp. Turn left back onto red. head up the the hill on the road. Keep on the road until you come to a stone bridge. before crossing the bridge look to the right just behind the stone cairn is a white birch. In the trunk of the tree is where you should find the green clover.
Cross over the bridge continue uphill. the trail will either go left or right go left. Look to the right for a green and white diamond on a tree to the right of that is a 2 sister stump. Look to the left under a couple of rocks on the left of the boulder.is where you'll find blue diamonds. Please rehide well.
heading up the trail just past the look out on the left see a 4ft. tree stump under the stump and some bark you'l find purple horse shoes.
to find this one as you are walking up the path you have to count 9 PRIVATE SHOOTING signs on the left. once you spot the 9th one there should be a trail on your right. that takes you to the foam dome home for the gnomes. go around the back where the door is from the door go left to a leaning dead tree. broken at 2ft. look under a flat rock just behind it to find the rainbow/ pot of gold.
Now that you have roamed the foam dome homje of the gnomes. you can either go back the way you came or continue on around the loop.
