On King Street is where you will find this letter box.

Between a street that is another name for protection, and one that’s a nickname for your sign, if you were born on December 13th, there is a place to rest in peace.

Go to the center, straight ahead from the gate, and face the large cross. Take a moment to take in your surroundings and then head off in a 10 o’clock direction. In the back corner you will find an interesting stone. It is more brown in color then the other grays.

That stone marks the final resting place of Manuel Nunes, inventor of the Ukulele. After appreciating what his invention has brought to Hawaii (and the world), and maybe playing a song or two, if you happened to bring along one of his creations, turn around so your back is to his stone.

In a 2 o’clock direction you will see a large tree, head towards it. Under this tree, shaped like a V, is the box. Take a peek, and you will find what you seek. Be sure to hide it again well when done. Good luck!

*** UPDATE 4/9/2011 *** After being found many times, it seems our little jumping flea has jumped off and disappeared. We were unable to find it at our last visit, but we will be back soon to replace it and make the box active again. Still a good place to visit if you have the chance though.
