***note: this box was once the Re-"Tired" Lobster letterbox hid at the winery in Bar Harbor, I just finally found a new home for it!******

NOTE: Though listed separately, this box is included in sort of a series- 5 letterboxes on a 5 mile stretch of Rt1 East- if you did them in order:
Wilbur's Re-tired Friend
Halloween Prankster
Humanitarian
Schoodic Welcome
Sullivan Tower

This lobster was a traveling lobster, but now he is tired of being my personal stamp. This lobster was purchased in Bar Harbor because I eagerly wanted to begin my letterboxing adventures. This was way back in 2002, with my then boyfriend, now husband of almost 8 years, before I knew how to carve. This lobster has been with me through the years of letterboxing, bringing me to a 'F count' of 89. For a couple of years now I've had a new personal stamp that includes my two daughters who letterbox with me and it is with great sadness that I retire my traveling lobster. However, I hope you enjoy finding him. Be sure to find some of his brother letterbox lobsters at 'Lost Lobster' in SW Harbor, 'Maine Event' in Bar Harbor, and 'Lobster Letterbox' in Belfast. And of course, don't forget to check out his old pal Wilbur who offered to share his home with my old, re-"tired" lobster!

Clues to the box:
Find Ruth and Wimpy's Restaurant, Home of Wilbur the Lobster on Rt1 shortly East of the intersection with Rt182. Park in the dirt lot. Check on the road side of the middle cement octagon.

PS
I hope to do several more letterboxes East on Rt 1 this late spring/early summer so keep an eye out for them!
