This one is not in a cemetery. It’s in Salmon River State Forest.

Directions: From Rt. 66 turn onto Jennifer Dr. At the stop sign, turn left on Blackman Road. When it curves north there will be a small parking area on the left. Pull in and park.

Clues to Box: Head down the trail. The beginning can be a bit muddy after a rain. Go about ¼ mile till you see a grave stone on your left and up a bit. This is the grave site of John Nolton Rollo who died of small pox in 1777 on his way home on furlough from fighting in the Revolutionary War. If you stand with your back to the stone you will see a big mossy rock with the end closest to you a bit upturned. The box is behind and under this rock. Please don’t disturb things more than necessary and leave them as you find them (or better).

We tried to avoid the poison ivy but it’s around so be careful.
