Rt 8 north until highway ends in winsted at light turn right at next light by college turn right at the 4th light. Intersection of rt 20 and extramart station. Stay on rt 8 for 4 miles from the light to the sign stating caolebrook river lake drive to the end of the gaurdrails on right and just before the next set of rails there is a dirt rd on right . Turn in to see a sign "wildlife refuge" Park here. If you drive by the boat ramp you have gone to far.
At the parking area you can either go right or left go Right to the first gate on the left.
Head down hill on the left you'll see a funy shaped split rock . Go to the fallen tree just behind it near the rot end is the Coral reef.
Continue past the old fireplace take a right at the T keeping the pond on your right continue on the trail . Crossing over a river bed just after the river bed is a 2 sister tree on the right between the rock and 2 sisters you'll find the Colorful fish.
Keep following the path before crossing a wooden bridge look to your left for a 15' high stump with a large rock behind it. Under the tree roots by the rock you'll find the C horse.
