Rt 8 north until highway ends in winsted at light turn right at next light by college turn right at the 4th light. Intersection of rt 20 and extramart station. Stay on rt 8 for 4 miles from the light to the sign stating caolebrook river lake drive to the end of the gaurdrails on right and just before the next set of rails there is a dirt rd on right . Turn in to see a sign "wildlife refuge" Park here. If you drive by the boat ramp you have gone to far.
It's vacation time again. I'm amazed at how many different ways people travel so hear are some ways to travel.
From your car go right to the first gate on your left. Head down the trail take a left after the old fire placeHead towards the water to a 2 sister tree on the left. 2 steps to the left side of the tree you'll find your Cruise ship under some driftwood.
Go back the way you came turning left at the 4 way . Up the hill keeping the pond on the left over a river bed to a large boulder on your right go behind the boulder to the tree closest to the trail. Between the tree and boulder under the roots you'll find your parked Car.
Head back the way you came. At the 4 way head up the runway toward yellow diamonds/ yellow gate. Look right in the woods to see a 12' stump . Head toward the stump under the bark is where you'll catch you're flight and check in.
Turn around head back the way you came turn left and then right past the fireplace. Was going to hide one here but noticed poison sumac growing in the middle. So instead to get your train head back to your parking lot. Just before the mountain of dirt on your left theres a big rock on your left on the back side of the rock is where you can pick up your train.
