From Underhill Center, head out Pleasant Valley road for about a half mile, until you reach Irish Settlement Road. Turn left onto Irish Settlement and continue for 1.6 miles until you see the sign for Crane Brook Conservation Area on you right. Pull over at the metal gate. Walk around the gate and follow the trail until you reach a clearing with a wonderful view of Mt. Mansfield (a few hundred yards). Turn right and proceed a few paces until you find a nice flat boulder. The letterbox is under the back of the rock.
