Drive East on Hwy. 101 through historic downtown Shakopee (on your way to fun things like Murphy's Landing, Canterbury Downs and ValleyFair). Take a few moments to find out more about this cool city by turning into Veteran's Memorial Park which is just outside of town on the left-hand side. There's a great information booth with lots of good info. about all the fun things to do in the area.
Once in the park, park your car in the lot next to the giant helicopter. Get out and head over to the American Flag memorial commemorating local heroes.
Once at the flag memorial you should turn around and face toward the playground. You will see a squadrant of old trees all around standing as honor guards to the veterans who are remembered here. One of the closest warriors has sustained a major injury but carries within it a hidden treasure. This warrior is someone you should LOOK UP to.
