Begin at Otter River State Forest Campground
- Start at site 63
- Arrows on the road point the wrong way. Count 7, then look for the arch.
- 1 is where you want to be.
- The trail can be hard to see, but "count to 5" and you'll be on your way.
- Follow the logs across the bogs, then the path after the bridge.
• -Swamp to the left of you, hill to the right, carry on
• A fork in the trail, oh my! Do what is “right”
• Left or straight you decide but know that this is an uphill battle
• The trail levels out at last take a deep breath and keep going.
• Follow the blue hiker looking for a fairy hollow and 3 birches on your left.
• Wow another 2 fairy hollows on your left
• Some say it is unlucky to stop here, but have a seat, stand up, turn right, and go 4 blue blazes
• The trees are in a straight lines downhill to your left, your goal is further along the trail
• Don’t stop for lunch where the woodpeckers do. Keep going
• 15 like 13 is a place to rest.
• Continue a few more blue blazes after the double birch
• The uprooted tree means you are on the right path. Keep heading downhill.
• You reach a road, look both ways, then turn left
• Don’t pass 17. The skier is pointing the wrong direction
• A gravel clearing means you are almost there. Look carefully now.
• Most starts are in the sky, but this one hides near 4 blocks, between the last 2 on the right.
