My son and I went to Shanklin Park to play at Tommy's Kids Castle. This play area is dedicated in memory of Police Officer, Tom Goodwin, who was killed in the line of duty on December 11, 1998. While we were playing we found the perfect spot to place our first letterbox.
When you get to Shanklin Park (411 W. Plymouth Ave.)
Go to the castle tower with the red roof.
Look out to the Northeast toward the infant/toddler swings, there is a ridge of trees lining a walking/bike path.
Look for 2 trees that make a V next to a short path up to the walking/bike path.
The letterbox is behind those 2 trees. Finding the letterbox is easy, BUT keeping it a secret that's the hard part.
