This letterbox was made with the help of two young people who were intrigued by what I was doing when I was carving my personal stamp and experimenting with the design on the center of my stamp; so there are actually 3 stamps on one medium, mine on the larger side and two on the edges.
The main image is called the Grafted In Symbol. It was found by a monk on an ancient oil lamp in Jerusalem near the Upper Room and King David's Tomb. The area has now been sealed off so there is no access to this area. It is a First Century Christian symbol depicting the Hebrew menorah, star of David, and the icthus or fish, a symbol used by early Christians. The combination of the three is indicative of the fact that the first Christians were Jewish followers of Yeshua (Jesus). On the side of the stamp is carved the crosses on Golgotha and on the bottom, a heart to show how much God loves us.
Clue: Find Grace House Church, the previously named Pleasant Valley Community of Prayer and Praise Church in Groton on the corner of Grove Avenue and Starr Hill Road. To the right of the parking lot in front of the church is a road that separates two parking areas. Drive up this road to an upper parking area along the right side of the church. Park here and look up behind the church to a 4 trunk tree. Walk up this steep hill to the tree and go around behind the right side of the tree to the stone wall. Here just above the chopped wood in the wall you will find your treasure. Happy stamping. Please rehide well.
