The Cougar’s Den

Cougar’s Den
• lair: the habitation of wild animals
• hideout: a hiding place; usually a remote place used by outlaws
• a unit of 8 to 10 cub scouts
• a room that is comfortable and secluded

Also the name given to the Old Colony Culinary Arts Department’s Restaurant
located inside Old Colony

The following box was placed as a fun activity for Mrs. Darcy’s period 5 sophomore college prep US History class of 2011. They came up with the name, hid the box and wrote the directions.

Directions: sort of easy

This box is 1 of 3 boxes located on the grounds of Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School located at 476 North Avenue in Rochester.

Come in the driveway and take the path on the right. You may choose to park in the lot, then walk up the driveway, therefore the path will be on your left. Make sure to bring bug spray in the warmer months. The trail leads to an open field. Continue on the path. You will see thru to parking lot on left. At the end of parking lot thru trees go to tree on right, half broken. That’s not it. Turn around and go back about ten steps. Look for hollowed-bottom tree on your right. Find your treasure in it!

Please be sure to put everything back in the box and re-hide it in the same manner as it was found. Thank you and enjoy finding the other two boxes.
