This box is located in the Oswegatchie Hills Nature Preserve in Niantic, CT
Park in the parking lot at Veterans field. I strongly urge you to obtain a map. Maps are provided at the trailhead. Here is a link to a map of the preserve that you can print:

After parking and getting a map, walk to the trail head and start meandering down the trail. Soon you will come to a bridge, cross over the bridge. Continue up the hill on the blue trail and continue on this trail until you come to a three way intersection. Go left and follow the blue trail until you see another blue marker on a tree (on the right side). Directly across from this marker on the left is an indiscrete trail that leads to a look out point. Follow this very brief trail to the vista. Stop and take a moment to relax and take in the view. Once your siesta is over, turn around, and head back to the blue trail. Take a right (back the way you just came) onto the blue trail and go 35-40 paces. Look for a two sister tree that looks like a V on the right. Located behind this tree (at the base) you will find your prize.
This ends your journey but you may want to check out the boxes "Some of My Best Friends are Flakes" that are also planted in this area.
This box was created and planted by Eric and Chip, Outdoor Pursuits students at ELHS.
