Letterboxing is a fun way to explore the dogwoods of the Arnold Arboretum.
Start at the main entrance (125 Arborway, Jamaica Plain MA 02130). Come inside the visitor center to get a map or print out the one on the link at this site.

Follow Meadow Road to Bussey Hill Road.
After you pass the sign for the Explorers Garden, be on the lookout for the kousa dogwood with the variegated leaf. It will be on the left side of the road almost to the top of the hill. This tree has a label on it that reads Cornus kousa 'Gold Star'.
The letterbox is located at the base of the tree.
The link has a map with the location marked by number 5.
