Make your way to Cooper Lane. If you are coming from Root Rd., the Nature Preserve will be your right hand side shortly after Margaret Rd. ( but before Brenda Lane ) UPDATE 6/18/09-- Now there is a Brown Joshua Trust sign that says Elizabeth Couch Preserve. Park on the side of the road in the grass ……..not much room to get off the road.
This is a Joshua’s Trust parcel.
You will need to bring red, yellow and blue markers with you to achieve the look in the log book.
Follow the yellow blazed trail to the 3-way intersection (the fourth way is unblazed and has been blocked off). Follow the yellow trail at 60 degrees. Keep following the yellow blazes through a stone wall and going left. The stone wall will end at a corner. Go past a wet area on the right, just after the corner of the wall (on the left). Stop after crossing the the dry stream bed and sight 320 degrees to a large gray birch about 23 steps away.
The very nice Nevada letterbox by mudflinginfools is waiting there under a rock . No need to roll the dice, it’s a sure bet .!!!!
