Route 171
Union
(stamp size 3 1/2 x 4)

From the intersection of routes 190 and route 171 in Union, take a right onto route 171 driving past the entrance for Bigelow Hollow State Park on the left. Just past the entrance, the blue trail crosses the road. Look for a small dirt pull off on the left, turn around and park here.
Please bring red, yellow, blue. brown, green, purple and black markers with you for this image.
You’ll need to cross the road to head south on the blue trail. Go around the gate, soon turning left uphill and follow the blue blazes. You’ll be going mostly uphill and eventually (after about a mile) cross a woods road with Yale Forest signs on the trees. After this, you’ll go downhill and come to a jumble of rocks on the trail (dry stream bed?). Sitting on a round rock (on the left of the trail) at the end of this jumble, site 310/315 degrees to see a jumble of boulders on the hill. At the same degree(s) look for two large boulders way up the hill, with a baby in the middle. Look in the cave to the right of the baby for the wonderful Wisconsin letterbox by Wisconsin Hiker.
