This 2 box series located in Webb Park on River Road in N. Weymouth, MA, is a tribute to my mother, who, along with her walking buddies, used to come here before it was so groomed, and hike these trails. All of those wonderful ladies are too debillitated to walk this anymore, so we took my mom in a wheelchair around the trails and planted these boxes on a wonderful sunny day. She was delighted to see how nicely they have updated this park. My mom is very proud of her Irish Catholic heritage and these boxes reflect those aspects of her life. Please bring your own ink or markers. There is only one book to stamp into, in box #2.
Find Webb Park and enter through the green gates and park. From the kiosk follow the "healthy trail" on your right. You will be walking with the water on your right. Follow this path past the triangle and continue right at the y also. Pass the Merchant Marine Memorial and the Grape Island Alarm Memorial to the Domenic Sansone Memorial at "The Point". Walk to "Angelo's bench" and look out at the beautiful view of Boston. On your left (240 degrees) you will see a multiple thin trunk tree. Discreetly walk to this tree and if you go a little around it you will be out of clear sight. Look down at it's base and spy the two rocks with your treasure hidden under, Box #1 Cup 'O' Tea. Please be careful to not be seen. Rehide well under the rocks.
Continue on the "healthy trail" path. Stay right at the triangle, follow up the hill and bear right at the y. Follow the trail past the benches on your right until you come to an opening for the Cole Memorial. STOP before going into this area and LOOK to the 4 trunk tree on your right. Again, be discreet as this is an open area. Reach down into the center of this 4 trunk tree and under two rocks is your 2nd prize, Box #2 "The Rosary Beads". Sit at the bench on the left and stamp in. Please rehide well. You can continue past the benches on the "healthy trail" staying to the right and it will bring you back to your car. Enjoy this lovely park.
