Please read the original text, after the new clues, since this box is a Memorial to Nonnie.

Stop at the Sharon rest area on I-89 South, just past mile marker 9. Step to the modern art sculptures South of the building. Calculate

X = (number of circles) + (number of diamonds) + 1

From the diamond take a bearing to the building, and follow that bearing past the building. Step over the fallen tree you find at the edge of the Pines. Examine the crotch of the X-trunked Pine tree you see in front of you. Please reseal the bags and rehide carefully.

End new clues; no need to print/copy information below this line.

Update August 25, 2006
This "missing" box has an interesting history. The box went "missing" when the tree it was planted at was cut down. From November 2003 to 2006 it was only found by Rubaduc (who told me where it was), "paacha & monya" & Uneksia. The box was "recovered" by geocachers who moved it from its below-ground placement to a tree crotch, to keep it from being stepped on. It then served as a geocache for perhaps a year, being far more obvious than the micro-geocache located with it. It was home to at least two travel-bugs (geocaching hitchhikers) and various trade items. A possible reason so many geocachers logged in here is that their own logbook was full. Since it was placed in 2003, this box has been maintained by Rubaduc, Uneksia, and more recently, geocachers.

The box had to be moved since it was completely surrounded by a lush growth of poison ivy; not the mention the fact that it was in plain sight, and was in use as a geocache.

The original clues:

**this box has been reported missing... as of may 2004, unfortionatly our home base is baltimore maryland so I cant confirm or replace it**
This box was plannted in honor of my nonnie who was born and raised in Barre, Vermont. This was planted on the way home (baltimore) from a road trip where we took a stop in her hometown.

This box is not in barre, but in the sharon vt rest area.

Just past milemarker 9 on rt 89 is the sharon rest area. Park in the lot and walk to the picnic area to the left of the rest rooms. Walk to the diamond shaped scultpture and take a reading of 110 deg east (standing at the left point of the sculpture). Walk in that directions for about 100 feet toward the edge of the grass. You should see a 2 trunked tree, at its base, with in the tall grass you should see the box.
