Easy, flat hike of maybe an hour. Driving west on Rt. 6 into Plymouth, turn left at the blinking light onto Todd Hollow Rd. Drive 1.6 miles and ahead of you will be a sign for Hancock Brook Lake. This gate was open today but if it's closed it will add another 0.2 miles to the walk to the box, or you can drive to the next gate.

Just follow the main road, sometimes paved, sometimes dirt. There are lots of side trails along the way but the main path stays evident. You will cross a little stream and just after it the Blue Trail goes left up the hill. We still follow the straight and paved, which is blazed in various colors along the way. Watch for the large flag on your left and at the top of the first incline there's a foundation on the left.
You'll go by what looks like an old parking lot on the right and then the only major fork in the road. Left is a dirt road but once again stay on the straight and paved. Now you'll go up and over what appears to be a bike jump, coming to a bridge with metal railings and boulders across the path. After going through the boulders the path narrows and you'll see a stop sign ahead (this stop sign is now missing so be very cautious). Be sure children are close by at this point as the drop is deadly.
Just before the drop off you begin to see green paint marks on the road and then a small trail to the left. Standing at the trail opening (or on the green arrow)site 20 degrees to a rock outcropping. Behind a couple of rocks in the ledge is the Chatter box.
Take extra care to rehide because I'm sure this is a hang out. Also beat on the rock before putting your hand in there and wear lots of bug juice, the mosquitoes are pesky.
Thanks for the visit. Have fun.
