Natural Bridge is one of the oldest tourist destinations in the United States. The Natural Bridge of Virginia is located in the community of Natural Bridge, which is located in Rockbridge County.

The Bridge has been included in several "Seven Natural Wonders of the World" lists, mostly in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It has been designated a National Historic Landmark, a Virginia Historic Landmark, and is listed in the National Register of historic Places.

You must purchase a ticket to the Natural Bridge to gain access to the letterbox. The 2009 price is $18/adults and $10/child and worth every penny! Don't forget your camera. The hotel is very reasonable and allows pets so if you are travelling from out of the area stay overnight.

Teh letterbox can be found on the Cedar Creek Trail. The nature trail begins with the walk down Cascade Creek and ends about a mile later at Lace Falls. The letterbox is placed just after the Saltpeter Cave on the way to lace Falls. There used to be a butterfly garden on the hill to the right just after the Saltpeter Cave. Look up the hill (beyond the once garden) and head towards the lodging for featherd friends. The Wonderful Wonder Letterbox can be found at the base.

Please make sure lid is secure and return where found. Consider stamping down along the trail and not up on the hill - so as not to draw the attention of others.
