"At the Grotto"
From the trail head, enter the trees
You’ll find our box beneath fallen leaves.
Up and down hills, o’er water snakes the path,
Cross over on logs to avoid early baths!
One, two, three times, then four
You’ll traverse the brook to it’s opposite shore.
Upon reaching land,
The next clue will be on your left hand.
Look for a path between two pines,
Steep red rock is another good sign.
Go up several feet, don’t stray to the right,
The treasure is near, it’s hidden from sight.
Look towards the tree hooked like a boot,
Between two exposed roots you’ll find the loot!
Dig up the box, please stamp with care
Then burry the booty for others to share.
Back down the slope, cross the river time five,
Just round the bend is a sight for the eyes.
Splash and play, bring a towel ‘cause it’s cold,
Or stand ‘neath the falls if you’re feeling bold.
When your done having fun,
Return the way you did come.
Find your way down the hill,
I hope you got your thrill seeking fill!

Directions to the start of the trail:
[From Northern Utah County]: To reach the Grotto Trail, get off I-15 at Payson Exit 254, turn left onto Payson Main Street (State Route 77). Continue south until Main Street meets 100 North. Turn left and travel east to 600 East, then turn right, and follow this road south to the entrance to Payson Canyon and the beginning of the Nebo Scenic Loop. The trail head is about 7 miles up the road (You can also reach the trailhead by driving north on the loop, from Hwy 132 east of Nephi.).
