"ONCE UPON A TIME"--A Time and Place to Remember---
I was born and raised in the Town of Torrington in the wonderful times of the 1940's & 1950's. I grew up with a lot of cousins all around my age and we all belonged to the same church, church group and choir, Girl Scouts, Rainbow Girls and had the same eccentric piano teacher! Not one of us lives in Torrington anymore, but our parents and relatives are all resting in beautiful Hillside Cemetery. I will be visiting here yearly and will check my box then. I hope you will stamp, date and add your town and state and take care of my box for me until I return. Please be discrete and re-hide well as houses are nearby. Thank you.
Rated: Easy
Clue:
From the center of Torrington, at the intersections of Main St., E. Main St., and S. Main St., head toward South Main, and turn RIGHT onto Litchfield Street(US 202) and go 0.3 miles. Bear/turn LEFT onto New Litchfield Street (US 202) and go 0.6 miles. Continue on New Litchfield St. and take 1st. LEFT after Belliview Avenue onto WALNUT Street and go 0.2 miles to #76 at the end-- which is Hillside Cemetery. Park near entrance and walk through entrance gate of STONE CEMENT pillars with WROUGHT IRON fencing. Once inside the gate go to the LEFT side and the 2nd. pillar close to the ground next to the pillar/wall and you will find My Memory Box.
Please stamp, date and add your town and state. As always please be discrete and re-hide well as houses are nearby and people walk through here. Gate is closed about sunset. Note: This box has been approved by the cemetery staff. Thank you again.
