Mount Baldy is located just outside Wimberley and has a series of steps that lead to one of the most amazing panoramic views of the area. Several years ago, the congregation of Trinity Church purchased Mount Baldy and renamed it Prayer Mountain, so I figure the steps can now be considered a Stairway to TX Heaven.

Directions:
From Wimberley go northwest on Ranch Road 12, turn left on FM 2325 for about 1.5 mile, then turn right on Woodcreek Drive. Take the first right, El Camino Real, then another right at La Toya Trail, which is marked by a stop sign. Drive about 1/2 mile to Mount Baldy on the left and park across from the steps on the right.

Clues:
Climb the steps to the top and continue walking northeast across the top to the far side. Go down 4 or 5 steps and look left for a cedar tree at last step. Letterbox is within trunks under a rock and needles. Enjoy the view while stamping in and please be discreet if others are around.
