THESE BOXES HAVE BEEN RELOCATED AND ARE CURRENTLY ACTIVE- WADECAT 6/23/2016

Heading East on Hiway 82 towards Cloudcroft, between mile marker 15-16, you will find a turn-out to view the remains of the wooden trestle.

Pull into the parking area for the Mexican Canyon Trestle. Park anywhere, as there are four stamps to find.
Hidden in this area you will find the 4 boxes in this series. While it is not necessary to find them in order, it is helpful to find #1 first. These clues are super easy, and the boxes are pretty easy to find. Please do not climb over the railing as the drop off is really steep and the loose rocks make it easy to slip.

1 The Trestle
Clues: For "The Trestle", walk to the south end of the parking area and continue walking on the entrance pavement until you get to the back of the sign that says" Right Lane Ends in 750 feet", stop and turn around. Go to the 2nd "I" beam on the guardrail and find the trestle on the East side of beam covered by SPOR's. Do not climb over the guardrail as there is a steep drop off on the other side. You can reach it from the roadway. I suggest that you take it with you and continue walking into the parking area to find the other three stamps. Once you have found them all, stamp and and return each to their proper location. Please use discretion and recover carefully.
Once you find this stamp, have fun and use your imagination with the rest of the series.

2 The Engine:
Clues: When the guardrail ends, you will see a display with three large logs stacked upon each other. At the far SW end of logs, reach between the two lower logs and find the Engine behind some pieces of bark and a rock. I suggest wearing gloves, as there may be some creepy crawlies resting there.

3 The Log Car
Clues: From the stack of logs, still inside the display area, face the hiway and count 6 posts from the East end of the guardrail. The log car is resting in a hole cut through the post and covered by rocks.

4 The Caboose
Clues: Ok, you wanted to see the trestle, so walk to the the observation point overlooking the canyon and trestle. Then continue to the East end of the parking area. You will pass two interesting chairs made of cut wood and then a bench made of cut wood. This would be a good place to stamp once you have found the caboose. Stay on the pavement and walk past the Large informational sign. To your right you will see another sign that says "Lincoln National Forest 1/2 mile". To the right of this sign is the beginning of another metal guardrail that has a black and gold reflective design on the end. Behind this reflective sign there is a perfect little metal angled piece jutting out that hides the camo-covered Altoids tin that contains "The Caboose".
