This box is a traditional letterbox - not to be confused with a cootie. Please do not remove this box from the site - thank you.

From the 101 Freeway exit Turnpike and head towards the mountains. When you get to the end of the road, Tuckers Grove Park should be right in front of you. There is no fee for this park so feel free to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy your day! Go to this link for more information, you may have to copy and paste it into your browser: http://www.sbparks.org/2007/Parks/Tuckersgrove.html

Enter the park and turn right. Continue driving through the parking area until you reach "Kiwanis Meadows". Drive into this lot and park anywhere. Park and walk along the pavement path keeping the creek on your left. You will pass Group Area 5 and the bathrooms and soon you will come to an open grass area. This is an off leash dog area so feel free to bring your dog and let them have fun! Walk all the way through this park and you will soon come to a short fence with a sign that says "Caution, mountain lions seen in the area." I have lived here all my life and I have never seen one in this area - but still be on the lookout around dusk. Go through the gate and on your left will be a trail sign. Depending on what time of year you go, please be aware of the poison oak on the sides of the trail. the trail is wide enough so you shouldn't need to worry. Head right and start your journey on this trail. You will soon pass two boulders on your left and a wooden staircase on your right. Keep going straight and you will soon embark upon an area of tree trunks. Look for the biggest trunk on your right and right inside the front part of this trunk you will find a shelf with cooties hiding under some bark pieces.

After collecting your stamp, please replace where you found it and cover it back up with the bark. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me. Have fun!!!
