Treasure at Preston Park:)
Traveling west past Foxwoods on Rte 2 take a left onto Rte. 2A. Follow to first light. Preston Park is on the left in front of you. Turn left and park in the parking lot in front of the little league fields just past the swings. Walk diagonally left past the playscapes. There are 2 large rocks in front on the edge of the woods. Enter the path between the rocks which has a sign that it was an Eagle Scout project as you enter. Follow the blue blazes. At the intersection in the trail, continue straight on the blue trail. The trail runs behind the back of the park. In the pine grove, before the rock bridge, there is a "dinosaur house" of pines on the right. Walk past the makeshift "shelter" to the right. There is a small downed pine lining on a tree at a diagonal on the left. In front, you may see a rock with many little stones piled on top. Stop and look right towards the park. There is a pile of rocks in front of a clearing with many rocks. Behind the biggest of the rocks in the smaller stone pile is the Treasure! Happy Hunting! Watch out for dinosaurs...my kids insist they are there!
