Going north on Rt. 31, after passing through Holden, take the turnoff that says To I195. Trout Brook Reservation will be on your left. It’s at number 320 but we couldn’t figure out the name of the street. Park in the parking area. If you have orange, wear it. It appears that hunting is allowed here all year. There is a no shooting zone but you may not be in it.
This little penguin decided to take a risk on the ice but took a wrong turn. Head through the gate and up the road. Before you get to the picnic area you should see a trail on the right. Take it. At the top, take the high road. Go up hill to the broken tree lot. Look on the right for 2 tiers of broken pines. Our little penguin is hiding out in the break of the taller one.
