Heading towards Key West on US 1 you will pass through Big Pine Key. When driving through Big Pine please obey the speed limit as this is the home of the protected Key Deer and the speed limit is strictly enforced by the sheriff's department. On Saturdays and Sundays in season (fall thru spring) Big Pine has a great flea market where you can find everything and anything from fresh fruit and vegetables to clothing, spices and jewelry.
At mile marker 30 you will go through the only stop light on the key. A CVS will be on your right. Shortly after CVS on the left you will see a mailbox #30250 Flea Market and the sign for the Big Pine Academy. Turn left on this road and the school will on your right and the flea market will be ahead on the left.
Take the first left (the flea market will be on your right and some trees on the left. Go past 2 sets of 4 yellow posts on your left. After the second set of posts there are 3 pine trees with one bent and some smaller trees. Near the smaller trees you will see a large rock/concrete. The box is located at the back left corner covered by a smaller rock/concrete. Please take care if it's a weekend when the flea market is open.
