We come to Lake Henry in July and watch the Tour de France and then ride our bikes around the lake. Come join the ride or just find our letterbox.
Directions:
Rt 590 to Rt 348 Mt Cobb Hwy
Go 1.1 miles then turn right on Lake Henry Rd (SR 3017)
Go 1.8 miles then at the Maplewood Fire and Rescue Co 68 turn right on Silkmans Rd (SR 3019)
Go .8 miles to the State Game Lands 310 parking lot
(You will pass the lake on your left and then right after East Island Lane you will see the gravel entrance to the lot - it isn't marked clearly from the road)
After you park your car, walk out to the road and turn right (North)
Walk about 40 paces, look to the right to see the utility pole marked with the number 174.5
To the right of the utility pole is two large rocks
Next to the rock on the right is a pile of stones
The box is under the stones
Please replace and cover - Thanks for looking
If you are looking in the summer, you can continue down Silkmans Rd and at the bend you will see an orchard on the left. Around the bend is the house with a garage where they sell awesome produce - Alunni's farm.
If you are biking, keep riding and keep the lake to your left to take a nice 6 mile ride around the lake.
